Watching my baby

Sabrina

I’m having a tough time today.

This afternoon my sister-in-law came over to my in-laws (even though everyone was joking) they were discussing who gets to baby sit first. As I said, it was joking but you know there’s some seriousness to it. It wasn’t aggressive, it was meant to be funny.

It STILL really bugs me. My husband and I have been trying for 4 1/2years. I’m excited to just hold my baby. Why should “we” be focusing on who is going to watch the baby?

Little do they know, we want to talk to my mother in law about helping with the baby while I’m working from home. Then there is the “Tobacco free” conversation since they all smoke.. so many conversations. My husband has stated he will start these conversations but he’s so reluctant.

Note: please be nice. I know this shouldn’t bother me. Just a first time mom, trying to deal with people talking about “watching the baby” when I’m not around. At this point, I wish I could be a stay at home mom. But that’s not the world we live in.
