Hi everyone!! So my SIL ask my opinion about her daughter. My niece is almost 10 years old and her brother 13 and until recently they were sleeping in the same room. But the brother moved into his own room few weeks ago and since then she, I believe, is afraid to sleep alone in her own room.. Her room is next to her parents room and every night she wants to sleep with them. They tried staying with her in her room until fall asleep but she wakes in the middle of the night and wants to sleep with them. She tells them that she is afraid if someone breaks in their home. They explain to her that they are safe and the house is well locked but she still wakes up in the middle of the night and goes to them. Has anyone faced this situation before? What can we do to help her understand that she is safe? Thank you!!
