Multiple beta tests?

Question

I recently had a FET on 8/30, my first beta was 9/9 and was 224.  I had my second beta today (9/13) and was 1623.  They said it exceeded their expectations but still want to repeat in two days at least one more time. I had one successful ivf round almost 5 years ago and the beta was only done twice then a 6 week ultrasound.  Just not sure if this is new or what’s going on.
Has anyone else had to have so many betas?

With a bhcg rise that fast could be twins.  Did you transfer more then one embryo? They may be checking again to see if it continues to rise that fast.

They did mine until a heartbeat was detected. Then stopped

My first round of IVF (2018), I believe I had 4 betas. I think that’s just how they did it. And my first ultrasound with my RE actually wasn’t until 7 1/2-8 weeks and then was discharged to my OB. 
I did another round of IVF this year at a different clinic and this time I had 2 betas drawn, and then another beta at 6 weeks along with first ultrasound.  Congratulations!✨

I had 4. But my first one was only 12 so they thought it was another chemical (my third IUI was and the beta for that started at 18).
