Cover line vs Luteal line???

Hi ladies! I am looking for some help. This is my first month temping, 4th month TTC. I’m confused by the difference between cover line vs luteal line on my chart. Also, does temp gradually or suddenly drop before period? Last 3 days steady drop. AF is due tonight/tomorrow. Am I out? 😔🤞🏼

The Cover line (the lower line) is the line above which you need 3 temps in a row to show you ovulated - once you’ve ovulated, the luteal line gets created and that’s the line that typically can help show if your temps are sustained in the luteal phase or if they drop.
