Alittle bit of a rant...

I’m a new STAHM of my 7 month old daughter, and we currently live off one income of my husband.

But ever since we moved he doesn’t help out, he doesn’t help pick up the house, he doesn’t help with the dishes, or the trash, or make dinner, or taking care of our daughter.

For example,

3 days ago I asked him to take out the trash after he got home from work and he’s like yeah I will, and a day passed and I asked him again at his lunch break and he’s like I’ll get it when I get home.. another day passed.. and I was trying not to give in and take it out my self so I asked him nicely again that morning If he could take it out and he’s like yes I will let me finish my breakfast and I said okay. He then left for work and still didn’t take the trash out.. fast foward to this morning he finally took out the trash but only half of it.... so the trash can is still full..

When I ask him to help out around the house, he says that’s my job because I’m the women of the relationship and that’s how his parents do it. I proceeded to tell him, that we are not his parents and he needs to help out around the house this isn’t the 1800’s and I do not need to do all the work. And if I want it to be fair then I should get a job and bring in the money as well.

When I ask him to watch our daughter he throws a fit, and when he does if she starts crying he sticks in her a opposite room and shuts the door and lets her fall asleep from cryinf herself , I’ve told him many times not to do this but he still doesn’t listen to me and the second I come back home from what ever I needed him to watch her for he automatically hands her back then doesn’t engage with her at all and I end up doing all of the work again..

When we had a agreement back when I first got pregnant, that I would stay home with our daughter until she’s about 3 or 4. I am also finishing college right now and getting my teaching degree to teach kindergarten.
