Rice cereal in baby formula??

Question

My babies gonna be a month old tomorrow, she was recently switched to nutramigen hypoallergenic formula because they thought she had a milk protein allergy.. 
however, I’ve noticed she gags ALOT with this stuff, and doesn’t seem like she’s even interested in it sometimes. So I messaged her doctor and they told me to add a teaspoon of baby rice to the formula.. I thought you weren’t supposed to do this until atleast 4 months.. has anyone else had to do this before hand ??

Absolutely nothing should go into a bottle other than formula or breast milk!
Putting baby cereal in a bottle is outdated and dangerous. It’s a choking hazard.

Please don’t listen to boomers when they suggest this. 
If your baby has reflux, there’s formula specially formulated with rice starch to make it thicker. It’s not cereal.

My twins chocked on my BM all the time, I started adding the cereal in their bottles and they haven't had any issues at all. I started when they were 4 months. They're almost 9 months now and eating solid finger foods without any problems. I also put cereal in my sons bottles and started when he was 3 months and never had an issue with him, he's almost 4 now.

I did it because I heard it helps them sleep through the night , started at 1 month also
