Disability and Life
Well, 👋🏻 hola my name is Amber. I have been living with a disability for almost 10years this January will be my 10yr anniversary. I was 21 when I was in car accident and ended up with traumatic brain injury and other injuries. My life has been a roller coaster. I was going to school for nursing. Did I get to finish, no. But, I haven’t stopped my dream. After my accident I had many tragedies in my life then abusive relationships like in every form of the word abuse. Finally, God brought me my prince literally he brought him to me in a plane 🥰 yes, this man flew from California to see me (Texas) and we fell in love almost instantly well he fell in love faster than me 😅 but that’s besides the point. I did fall in love with him and he is the best and amazing man I could pray for. We have had so many ups and downs. But, he has understood and emphasized with my disability especially with seizures and sometimes my mental instability. But I thank God every day for having an amazing family and man. Any way, let’s talk about having a disability and sexuality. Having a disability and being a relationship. Hmm what about the deep down and things that happen when having a disability, the things that are hard to say to your partner or loved ones. Having a disability and your race and being in a relationship; the stigma. Let’s talk. Judge free zone. Unless you’re being a fool. 😝 Also we can take jokes. But know your limits.
Thank you 🥰
