Waking a sleeping baby??

So, I have a question. My baby is about 5 1/2 weeks old. I feed him 3 ounces every 3 hrs. Anyhow at night sometimes I have to really try and wake him to eat, sometimes he will go 4 hrs and I’m sure could go longer. Would you let him sleep or continue waking him?

Why are you still waking him? Unless the doctor is concerned about weight gain, let that baby sleep. He'll let you know when he's hungry

Honestly, I'd never wake a baby - like ever. The sooner they learn the difference between night and day, the sooner they will sleep longer hours at night, the sooner your life can become normal again. Let it happen naturally.

I would never wake a sleeping baby unless they’re underweight…I don’t know why people think they have to.

Let baby sleep.. babies will wake on their own when hungry

Only need to wake to feed if they are losing weight if baby is gaining happy and healthy they’re fine to sleep. Had to wake my first because she lost a lot of weight but after she got back up to her birth weight I let her sleep.
