What does this mean?

I’m 35 weeks today and I have lost my mucus plug weekly since 32 weeks. And I mean larrrrgeeee amounts each time. I have been having contractions since as well and doctor says baby is starting to engage in my pelvis.

Just wondering what this means, could labor be soon?? Is it normal to lose the plug weekly? I know it regenerates but it’s weird that it won’t stay in place …..
