Whole milk or 2%?

Should I be giving  my 14 month old whole
Milk or 2%? Some are suggesting whole milk until hes 2 and some are suggesting to switch to 2% now . FTM so I don’t know what’s more beneficial for my son.

The pediatrician knows your kid best and ask them next time you’re in, but whole milk is generally the recommended percentage for kids under 2 years old.

I personally wouldn't even give children 2% at older ages. Whole milk is only 1% higher in fat, is processed less, and also they add sugar to 2% in order to add "flavor" to make it more appealing 🤦‍♀️. There's already naturally occurring sugars from the cow, but in 2% there's the natural sugar + added sugar. So I don't really see a benefit drinking 2%.

Pediatrician told me whole milk until age 2 because it has the fats they need for brain development. After 2 she said it doesn’t matter as much
