Dress too formal for a wedding?

I have never been to a wedding and I am not a very "fashionable" person but I am learning lol, but I was wondering if this dress is too formal for a wedding? I just was going to wear simple gold jewelry and small nude heels? The dress is a navy and not a black incase that helps any! I'm just not sure haha

I think this is perfect for most weddings. It just depends on what type of wedding they are having and how they expect their guests to dress. For example, I think this would be just a bit too dressy for a backyard BBQ wedding.

I think it’s nice. It doesn’t read too formal. It reads dressy. Formal I think sequined gowns to the floor. This is appropriate.

I do like the dress. It depends on the wedding, but I don't think you can go wrong with it. I also think it's better if guests don't overdress.
