So much pressure being a girl in my family?

Growing up I was always taking care of the house and working hard, I’ve always worked really hard and been in difficult schooling, and graduating college in December. There are only two of us I have one brother. He doesn’t have any expectations, hasn’t worked in two years and lives at home. My moms expecting me to spend a lot of my paycheck on her birthday and coming up with new things she wants me to spend money on which is going to add up to a lot, and I’m currently paying 500 a month on school loans since my dad stopped helping. Meanwhile my brother has never gotten her a present before. Is it like this in other peoples families?
