I got my nexplanon February 1, 2020. When do I need to have it changed?

Also how would I go about switching doctors? My gyno went somewhere else and now there is a man as the doctor and that is beyond my level of comfort. The old doctor did not give me an exam because it was not required for the nexplanon and I am below 25 and not pregnant. I am Terrified of someone looking at me like that
