Help I lost my mucus plug?!

I was 3cm dilated a week ago. I am currently 38 weeks and 6 days today and have lost my mucus plug been having period like cramps. Should I wait it out or go to the hospital?

Update : had an emergency C-Section on September 21. Baby born same day weighed a whopping 7lbs

Mucus plug is not a reason to go to the hospital. Neither is a bloody show unless you are contracting regularly or your water broke. Are you having timeable contractions 5mins apart lasting 1min each? If not then I would wait it out. You can always ring your doctor and see if they want to exam you in their office.
