What are your visitation rules for newborn?

I’m very very hesitant to let people around my newborn until he’s vaccinated at 2 months old but I already know how much hate we’re going to receive from the families. Should I even care what people say/think and hold my ground or am I being too over protective? My son will be born in October, middle of flu and RSV season, one of the many reasons I’m very hesitant.

The only visitors allowed here will be masked fully vaccinated family members. No little ones other than my daughter who is 2. I feel zero remorse over this decision. We shouldn’t be expected to go through pregnancy, labor and delivery just for our babies to come out and contract a deadly virus from an offended family member.

We are Waiting at least 2 months, and only one person (whom I expected to be offended) was offended and thought I was keeping my baby from them. My little guy was born 5 weeks early so he’s especially vulnerable so idgaf. People can fucking wait and they can be offended as much as they want. All I know is I’m taking care of my baby 💙 And the people who are respectful will be the ones whom I actually want around anyway!

We are only asking that people who aren’t feeling well to wait a week or two to visit and that anyone who has recently been vaccinated to not visit us. We specifically warned all our family members to not get any vaccines if they’d like to be around our baby!

Protect and hold ur ground anyone outside my home besides the granny will be on zoom or FaceTime we have to carry deliver and take care of these babies hell with others we don’t know who they be around I decided to be extra strict after my shower someone came on a Saturday by Monday she was announcing she had covid then 4 more people was positive i ended up in the hospital with pneumonia noooooooooope no visitation

Honestly I don’t even want to go to a doctors office until this dang flu/RSV season is over 😓 (once baby is born I mean). I am going to have my mom and dad and sister visit. And one close family of ours. Other than that I am not letting anyone over. Luckily I don’t have to worry about the hospital.

I’m not restricting immediate family and wouldn’t even consider it, but will require hand washing upon arrival and no kisses which seems the most logical.

The only person I want around my new born will be  my 3 year old, husband, my mom and possibly my dad. I have so much more anxiety over this new baby then I did my older girl because of the current flu and covid season that I’d be fine if no one came until after January 😅.

I’ve never really restricted visitors to be honest. But that’s like 5 people. I don’t plan on limiting visitors this time either. Maybe limiting holding the baby. As long as they wash their hands I’m not too worried.

No visitors allowed at the hospital with us and when visitors do come they have to prove they have tested negative for Covid, wear a mask and wash/sanitize hands.
