Painful braxton hicks

After my midwife checked where my babies head was at 32 weeks I have been having pain. I think it’s lightning crotch but it didn’t happen before she did that and now my Braxton hicks hurt a lot and they seem more intense. I told her that doing that was really hurting me and I wasn’t sure if she was supposed to be doing that since it hurt so much but she basically brushed it off and didn’t tell me if it was normal or not. But now I’m angry bc I’m constantly in pain randomly throughout the day ever since she did that. Is it lightning crotch? Is this normal?
