Do dreams have meanings?

Bc i dont choose to dream about certain stuff and they just come for example i met someone online we started talking for months and we both fell in love with each other but then i had stopped talking to him for 2 months bc of some reasons.. Some how he found his way back to me and we just picked it up where we left off and i just have been dreaming about him these past two nights and i dont know why bc i dont chose to dream about it and thats why im wondering if theres meaning behind dreams.

Yes, dreams have meanings and they can be instructions.

I didn’t think we get to choose what we dream about? Lol ever since becoming pregnant, I’ve had the worst vivid dreams. Sometimes they just feel too real and I wake up in a panic or crying but my husband is there calming me down. My dreams can be beyond fictional and then just so real. It’s crazy.

Some people believe that they are some more to dreams than what they appear, sometimes you have the most wonky extremes that make no sense, and sometimes dreams or warnings, I once had a dream after watching the movie face off with Nicolas Cage and John Travolta that someone had broken into our house and robbed and beat us up and tried to rape us etc. the next day I woke up in the middle of the night obviously not able to sleep, and I told my mom about the next day and she said when she went to the bank, a woman was there and she seemed very distraught and my mother talk to her because that same situation it happened to her son and his wife. You never now. But at the same token you can have the most wonky his dreams or maybe you were watching some thing on TV before bed or a movie, and it came from your real life because you had seen it, but not necessarily I wouldn’t read too deep into them, you’re obviously thinking about the person a lot you’re obviously on their mind, you’re obviously maybe wishful thinking who knows where they came from, but I’ve heard some of the wonky streams from people, and you just never know, I’ve had a dream about my daughter when she passed, and I got to have a conversation with her as an older toddler, after she had passed in the womb, and I made my peace with it that way, I got to tell her all the things I always wanted to, it was a good dream you know but I usually don’t read too much into dreams, my partner was on vacation for a week with his kids away, and he texted me to tell me the dreams he was having about me obviously he was missing me, but I just laughed at it, I wouldn’t think too deeply about them, just go with the flow,￼￼￼

I think most of my dreams are absolute nonsense, but I had one dream about a guy I had casually started seeing - I dreamed he had attempted to rape me and that his roommate had saved me, I told my roommate that I didn’t think I could spend time with him after having such a vivid dream and she told me that he had tried to break her arm before. Idk what his deal was but it was a huge sign for me to never see him again. Maybe things would have been fine, but I really think it was best that I drop him.
