How long does the pain after a D&C last?

I just had a D&C today and was wondering how long this pain usually last?

I didn't have pain right after the D&C but the few days after I had some very bad cramps and then about 2-3 days after I had severe cramps which were actually contractions. I felt better after passing very large clots of blood. I wasn't prescribed any painkillers so I just took ibuprofen and smoked weed

Am I the only one amped on painkiller a here? I had a D&C on Wednesday morning. I can't say I've had any pain, but I've been rotating through three prescription pain killers as well as an antibiotic. I notice if I sleep through the time I should have taken a dose, I get a little crampy, but nothing bad at all.

I had one about 4 weeks ago and I didn't exp any pain . They did tell me tho I could have cramping for day or so & just to use ibuprofen as pain reliever .

I had a d&c a week ago.. No pain only had cramps for 3 days afterwards - which felt the same as period cramps.

I had pain that required a pain killer for the first 12 hours, then a duller pain that didn't need anything for another day. After that I felt physically fine. The doctor told me it isn't unusual to have some pain for a few days, but it should be gradually improving - if it gets worse you should contact your doctor.

I did not have any pain with my D&C. Call your doc if it doesn't get better soon.
