Birth defect.

I am 23 & my boyfriend is 42. We have a little girl on the way who has cleft lip & palate. Could age difference be a possibility of why she got cleft lip & palate? One of his friends made a remark & said “me & my wife are trying to have another baby but afraid of something like that happening due to our age”. I have her in 11 days & we can’t wait to meet our beautiful girl, but his remark made me wonder if that’s why she got it.
