Normal?

Question

My daughter is 5.5 months and has started making “mmmmmm-mmmmmm-mmmm” noises when she’s excited. If she sees our cat, or when we’re eating she will make that sound and twirl her hands and feet. I’m not sure if it’s just purely an expression of her excitement or if maybe I need to talk to her dr…everything on google talks about tics, or autism. Anyone have babies doing the same type of thing?

When they are this little it’s normal. I’d be more concerned if they were doing this past the 1yr mark.

She’s fine. Normal baby things my 5mo son can talk. He can say 5-6 words very clear and repetitive but he still does the mmmm at times too. Daughter did the same and she’s was also advanced she’s 5yo and definitely now autistic or anything. Do not worry your baby will make all kinds of sounds and babbling. My baby has been doing this since 3 months 😂 more recently she does it while I’m nursing her. I think it’s a good thing and just part of development ❤️
