Weird bleeding.

So I'm 3 wks postpartum with a repeat csection. My bleeding isn't heavy but I'll have like a day or so of what I would consider normal brownish spotting and then all of a sudden a gush of red blood again and the rest of that day red spotting, then back to brown spotting. This is my third child and I just don't remember having this back and forth. Once I went to spotting it just stayed that way for a couple weeks. Does anyone else have this weird bleeding? Is it something I should be concerned or call my dr about? I'm able to just use liners although I have to change them when I get a gush but it's not like soaking a pad or anything.
