Baby not sleeping
My 2 week old infant will be 3 weeks Monday and tends to stay up for the entire day. She doesn’t nap at all and is fussy crying for milk all day. Idk how to soothe her and settle her down to sleep. When I try to get her to sleep she’ll fall asleep for a few seconds then wake back up crying.
I run out of options so I choose to feed her to calm her. She’ll eat an ounce and stop crying but won’t fall asleep. Then an hour later she repeats the same cycle. Starts to become fussy, is fed, stops crying and stares. Sometimes if I’m lucky she’ll sleep at night however tonight luck isn’t on my side. She’s been up ever since 1 pm and it is 9 pm now.
I don’t think this behavior is normal and I am confused on how to help her fall asleep easier and for longer periods of time. I’ve tried changing her formula to similac total comfort and giving her gas drops but it has yet to make a difference. What should I do to help her nap during the day and at night?
