Water for your 6 month old?

So im wondering if its ok to give like an oz of water to your little one? I want to introduce water but my husband says no, im saying just an oz not like 3 or 4oz, just ONE.

Can I ask why the interest in introducing water? Technically an once is safe but there is absolutely no benefit and only reduces the amount of nutrients the baby will get. The information doctors give parents - that a bit of water is ok - is usually to reassure them that baby is fine if they accidentally have some, not to encourage offering it on purpose.

My pediatrician said water is totally fine now Bc kidneys are fully developed.

Yup. Our pediatrician told us to offer water after meals in a sippy cup.

Yes I offer water mainly after meals. I mean I don't like having food in my mouth I'm sure my baby doesn't either. He usually only drinks .5oz-1oz the whole day.

We do baby led weaning and offer water at meal time. We'll put 2oz in his cup (that's the max for a whole day). If he drinks it, cool. If not, that's okay too.

My baby has issues with constipation since introducing solids. Pedi said to put 1 oz of water in each bottle. She gets 5oz each day so I think 1 oz is totally ok!

Pediatrician said to introduce water in a cup/sippy cup. 
My LO loves her sippy cup and maybe drinks 1-2oz per day of water when she eats solids.
