Should we wait?

Question

I read somewhere that if you have history of miscarriage, you should hold off on sex during first trimester.... is that true? I don't want to jeopardize our pregnancy but I'm in NEED and SO thinks this isn't true. Help!

If you have a history of miscarriage, I'd wait. I don't even have a history of miscarriage and I'm waiting until after my first appointment and ultrasound on the 30th. So I'll be nearly 9 weeks by the time we actually do it. Poor hubs! But it's worth it to wait if you have any fear or feel any hesitation.

I asked my doctor and she said there was no need to hold off on sex. She said sex wouldn't cause miscarriage in a normal healthy viable pregnancy. She said it could cause spotting/bleeding if you were already in the process of miscarrying, but it wouldn't cause it.

Thanks for your comments ladies, we're going to hold off until Tuesday when I have my first appointment. I don't think either of us can go any longer than that! Lol!
