Very Irregular periods

Hi guys now I m 34yrs old n my period stopped past 1 year tried each n every thing to get period or get pregnant but nothing happens. It's so sad to think without period or child. Doctor suggested birth control pills but now it won't effect on me . So anybody knows anything or suggest what to do to get period. Please help
