Would it be a deal breaker if your spouse/partner is a cat person and is disinterested in dogs?

Not a serious poll but just wanted to see how others think on it. I'm currently with a partner that loves cats and is not a fan of dogs and I'm the exact opposite! I love dogs and, though I'm not opposed to cats, I just prefer dogs over cats.
I wouldn't mind having cats as pets, I just never grew up with them, while I've had dogs my entire life. And they are also the opposite, having cats their entire life and only just now having a dog because it is their roommate's dog.

Definitely not. I don’t care for dogs and am allergic so I’d appreciate someone who also didn’t like dogs.
I think dog people can sometimes be a little ridiculous and think that everyone should worship their “fur babies 🤢” and that anyone who doesn’t love dogs as much as they do are not normal.

Well no, but that’s because I’m a cat person who is disinterested in dogs. My husband actually happens to be allergic to dogs 😂 he loves cats. So I win!

I absolutely hate cats, but I’m indifferent toward dogs. My SO would like a dog eventually, and I’m fine w that. If he decided to get a cat, I’d never want it in the same room as me.

I actually don’t care at all. When I was younger I had a few pets but not for very long. I was allergic to cats so we never got one but then I got a bf who had 4 cats who eventually became my babies. I love them so much. I’ve always wanted a dog but never had one, so we’ve talked about getting one. I take allergy pills and I’m fine. Love spending time with his pets that became mine over time.

I have never liked cats,,, they have always left a bad impression on me, I’m allergic to them and my grandpas cat ate her babies and I found her dead kittens. 
When I found out my bf loves and had cats I was scared. But thankfully she’s a sweet heart and I’m surprisingly not allergic to her (which is the main thing) . I’m so thankful that it happened to work out but any other way I think it would have been a deal breaker for both of us. Who knows.

We have both cats and dogs, though my hubby doesn't like cats really, but that's more so because they pee on the carpet and use our furniture for there stretching post even though we had bought them one. We're taking a break from cats when these two go.
