Why does my chest do this?

Why is it that every time I drink alcohol my chest does this? Sometimes my face does it as well. Anyone have any insight?

Well those look like superficial scratches, but if you're referring to the redness it's called alcohol flushing.

I have this, it’s genetic and usually called ‘Asian flush’ or ‘Asian glow’; it’s most common in those with East Asian ancestry but anyone can have it. 
As someone else has said it’s because you lack a specific enzyme for your body to process the alcohol. It’s like an intolerance/ allergic reaction causing flushing, irritated skin and also headaches, faster heart rate and almost hangover like symptoms. 
You can avoid this by consuming alcohol which doesn’t contain tanins; red wine, rum and beer contain more tanins compared to vodka or gin for example. I’ve tried taking antihistamines which can suppress the symptoms but it won’t actually prevent the reaction since it’s genetic.

likely to have the inherited genetic mutation that causes alcohol intolerance, so they develop the condition at higher rates. Anyone can have the enzyme problem that causes alcohol intolerance.
