Learning a second language

Can anyone recommend a program they’ve used to learn a second language?? I took a language in high school but the teacher wasn’t great and most of what I got from it was site-words but nothing conversational. Specifically I’d like to learn Spanish because my employer will pay several more $$/hour if I know Spanish - even if it’s totally basic.
