Fibroids

When I had my ultrasound the tech said "have your fibroids been bothering you" and I just had a look of confusion... I didn't know I even had them I didn't know if it was a general question or what, this was my first time with her as my tech I have someone else the last two times. I had no problems getting pregnant and no painful periods etc. fibroids have never been mentioned by any doctor im just wondering why she said that
