I had my nipples pierced as a teenager, i kept them in a couple years but could never get them to heal properly so eventually took them out. I took them out about 5 years ago. For 5 years, every now and again they will still get infected. They get all swollen and i get yellow / green / blood pus coming out the holes,(sorry TMI) so I have to like pop it kind of and squeeze them out and salt bath them etc and then they will eventually heal and will be okay again for a few months. But then it happens again, a constant cycle.

Im now pregnant, and one of them is irritated again and I’m just sick of this happening. Im worried this will mean I wont ever be able to pump or breast feed? Anyone had similiar issues with nipple piercings? Its literally been 5 years since taking them out, i dont understand why they would still be getting infected every now and again! As theyve closed over, I’m not sure if like.. the infection is trapped inside with no way of getting out? I dont know if thats even a thing? But they do ooze out the holes so I dont know. Anything better than salt baths to heal old piercings that can be used whilst pregnant? Should I get them re-pierced and try and heal them again? Eurghh idk but its TIRING and i want to breast feed my baby once they are here!!
