Our journey (sorry so long)((oh and first time post😊))
In February 2014 I had gotten my Implanon taken out. Implanon is a BC that last up to three years. Justin (my husband) and I had decided we would try for a baby. Well it took till now to find out I had low progesterone and probably wasn't ovulating. I went through one round of blood testing that was all normal then I had to have an HSG test done. HSG is a radiology procedure where dye is injected into the uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix. The HSG test shows whether the fallopian tubes are open or blocked. Well I had gotten my results back and my doctor had told me everything was normal. That next Monday I had my last blood test to take. And there we found the problem, my progesterone was at .5. So my doctor told me she would put me on Clomid (clomiphene) which helps by increasing the amount of hormones that help ovulation. Since I don't have a regular cycle I was given Provera to help induce a period. I would take those for 10 days and wait for a period. On the third day of my period I would start the Clomid and take it for five days (3rd day to the 7th day of cycle) I then would have to take estradiol The 8th day to the 12th day which thins the lining of the uterus is so that eggs could drop ans sperm could get through. Well I was on my second day of Provera and decided I wanted to take a pregnancy test just to see if I was pregnant or not so I would not hurt a possible growing nugget! And there it was on December 2nd all 5 tests said pregnant!! Yes all 5 lol 🤗 we did it on our own without any fertility medicine. We are ecstatic. I took a blood test and it said that we were around five weeks. Our first sonogram an appointment will be Monday the 14th. I will keep everybody updated!!!! Hoping the little nugget sticks.Â
