Any thoughts?

I’ve only know this guy for two weeks and he’s in the military. Those weeks were very fun and amazing. A few weeks ago he had to leave back to his station in San Diego. Now in less than a week I’ll be flying to San Diego California for three days to visit him before he’s off to deployment in Spain. Am I insane to go since I haven’t known him for a long time?

Just make sure your friends and/or family know exactly who the guy is, his phone #, address where you are going, and your travel plans. 
Shit happens, so giving someone all of the information is never a bad idea.

I would say definitely be aware of all your surrounding at all times and trust your intuition but go have fun u don’t have to have a plan or even kno what u want with this guy right now it’s still new so if u want to go then go enjoy yourself and be safe

I don't think your two week relationship is going to hold up over a deployment, but I could be wrong.

What's your goal here? Are you going to try to do a long distance relationship while he is deployed? I would make sure you guys are on the same page before wasting your time going there. Also make sure to take all the precautions while traveling alone. You haven't known him long and it's not uncommon for people to hide their true colors the first little bit of dating.
