How long do you think its ok to be together before being engaged. What do you feel would be considered to long

My husband and I were friends for about 7 months, dated for 4, were engaged for just over a year, and have been happily married ever since! We just knew that this was it for us. It really is different for everyone.

I started dating my husband when I was sixteen and he proposed when I was 21. I think it depends on age, financial status, and just where you are in life with each other. I'm happy we waited 4 1/2 years to get engaged. Married for 5 years now!

Whenever it is right!  I always swore I would want to date for AT LEAST a couple of years before considering engagement.  My hubby bought a ring 3 months after we found out each other existed on the planet.  Engaged a month after that, married a year and a half after that.  Wouldn't change a thing, it has felt right since day one.  I feel like he's always been in my life even though I didn't know he existed until a little over 3 years ago.
