How many cans of formula do you use a month?

I’m switching baby over to formula (2 months old) and want to make sure I have a months supply on hand. I buy the 964 g value pack of powdered formula. How long would one of those last you?

Before you go buying bulk, I’d buy small and find the formula that best works for your baby if you haven’t. I made the mistake of just buying formula only to find out he needed something else. 
My son is 6 months and a 964g canister lasts about 2 weeks. When he was 2 months, 3 weeks. Definitely look at ingredients in brands. I’ve found Walmarts Parent Choice is almost identical to similac just $10-$20 cheaper! Same thing with targets brand! And also a side note of something I didn’t know, nipple sizes and colic bottles matter! I’ve noticed the bottles with the filters in the middle helped my little guy a lot when switching to avoid gassy bellies and spit up. But I did buy the wrong nipple size at first, much too big (again not knowing it was a thing)! Little babe will need a size 2 nipple!

Don’t buy too much at once, but then once you find out what works for your baby use those coupons and stock up. 
We bought a case of powdered formula for each week. My girl drank 5-6, 6oz bottles each day once she was about 2.5 months old-12 months old. Sometimes more, sometimes less. So literally a case a week 😳 and we stacked the cases on a bookshelf. Bought it all online (granted this was pre Covid by about 2 months) and saved 20% because I bought it all from our Target registry. Bought 20 cases and had it delivered to my parents house because we don’t have a covered porch. 🤣 Poor delivery guy carrying all that formula.
