Break up over intimacy?

Question

Would you break up with you s/o if they didn’t show you affection anymore and didn’t want to have sex with you?
I’ve talked to him about this for months.
I’ve tried not caring but I really do.

I would want to know the “why” behind his sudden complete loss in intimacy.  Is he overly stressed?  Is he finding affection elsewhere?  Loss of interest in me?  He needs to give you some answers.  Especially if you had a very affectionate relationship and it just ceased.  Good luck❤️

Dating, yes. Married, yes. It’s part of the reason I am currently going through a divorce. Not that I have to justify it, but it was 3 years, marriage counseling, individual counseling, … my ex-wife chose not to be a part of the marriage and I no longer was going to wait for her to be affectionate and intimate.

If intimacy suddenly stops there is a reason and the reason is usually medical. Depression, hormonal imbalances, thyroid malfunction. For men, ED. So no, I would not leave my partner for a medical issue.

If it’s been discussed, especially multiple times, with no improvements, then yes I’d absolutely break up. Sexual compatibility/incompatibility is very real & very valid!! If intimacy is that important to u & y’all just can’t seem to get on the same page, then it’s best to move on & find someone ur more compatible with. Life is too short to be in a miserable situation that doesn’t seem to be changing.

dating ? yes.
married ? no. if my husband ever came to me and told me he was uninterested in sex anymore then i’d stay with him and help him figure out what’s wrong. i took a vow of “in sickness and in health, in times of prosper and decline”, there’s other ways for me to meet my needs. he wouldn’t deserve me to step away simply because he’s got something going on.

Yes, I think intimacy (and not just sex) is a healthy part of any relationship. Is he willing to discuss with you why he’s feeling this way? If he’s not willing to communicate with you about it either, I’d say it’s a good reason to leave the relationship.

Yes and it's one of the many reasons I split with my ex. He was only ever intimate when he wanted something and no matter how many times we talked about it, it never changed.

I’m going to be like some of the other people. I would want to know if there is an underlying issue. Stressed, not feeling well. There has to be a reason why he stopped. I would find out that reason and decide from there.

It depends. 
If we have not dated for long and don't have a lot of entanglements I would break up. 
Married with kids, no. I am not breaking up my home over sex. I would discuss it and just schedule sex with him.
