Is it safe to take Benedryl in the first trimester?

Every doctor I've spoken to has definitively said that Benadryl, as an antihistamine, is absolutely safe! Have  a happy pregnancy!.....wife. ;)

Yes it's safe. And a life saver. When I couldn't sleep my dr recommended one. Lol

The list my dr gave me says it's safe and she said it herself as well.

Yep! Just make sure it's regular benadryl (active ingredient diphenhydramine HCI) and not one of the fancy advanced formulas with additional active ingredients.

My doctor gave me a list of medicines that were safe to use, benedryl is safe! I've taken it twice since my BFP

It's one of the first, older antihistamins. Should be safe to take while pregnant 1. and 2. trimester. But PLEASE ask your doc about!!!
