My 3 yo was found to have salmonella in her blood. She is now being hospitalized as she needs to be given antibiotics through IV. The doctor says the prognosis is good as long as she gets the antibiotics, however unsure how many days it will take. My husband is staying with her now as we have a newborn at home and I am breastfeeding.

Has anyone gone through this at all? Im so worried about her and have no idea how she even got it. Im hoping the antibiotics will work quickly and she can come home soon.
