IUD CRAMP TIPS?
I just got the mirena about a week ago and I knew I would be having cramps and what not because it was extremely hard for my doctor to get in and took almost 20 minutes because my cervix didn't react to the pill I took 6 hours earlier to soften it. Needless to say it was the worst pain ever. And I have a pretty high tolerance, I've had 7 hour tattoo sessions and did just fine but After 10 minutes or so of her trying I had to take a break it was so bad. I was bleeding everywhere too. Anyway skip to 3 days after and my cramps had subsided for the most part, but now they have came back with a vengeance to the point I'm either in tears or sobbing every other 5 minutes and i checked the string and everything with my finger and it's all okay and in place....so I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any tricks to help subside the pain? Or maybe anything those of you with IUDs know that helps with these specific type of cramps? I am not used to being in so much pain for so long and it affecting me so much physically. And since I'm newly living on my own I don't have any pain meds or much of anything like that so if you recommend any over the counter meds that have really helped you please let me know cause I have no clue where to even begin :(
