To color hair or not?

Hey Ladies,

So I may be pregnant!! I go for bloodwork on Monday. At home tests say positive but I took Ovidrel so that gives false positives. With that said, I have an appointment to get my hair colored on Monday! I've waited forever to get in to get my hair done. Is it safe to color my hair or would you wait? Obviously I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my pregnancy since I've been trying for two years but my greys are horrible!! What should I do?!?

I talked to my stylist last time I was at the salon and she said that it's really up to the mom-to-be, much like whether you decide a cup of coffee is okay here or there. That said, the issue is really about not getting dye in your roots - so if you want to do it but feel nervous about it, go for an ombré effect.

Could you reschedule for next week so you could make an informed decision?

I think it's fine. My hairstylist continued cutting and dying hair until a few days before she gave birth.

You can dye and bleach your hair in pregnancy just make sure the room is well ventilated
