Over weight

I just got pregnant with baby #3. Im 8 weeks, my previous OB retired. So I’m going to a new practice. I had my first appointment Thursday and they told me my BMI was too high for them to accept as a patient so they had to make me weigh a little less on their books and make me a little taller. They also said if I gain more than 10lbs the whole pregnancy I will have to see a different office. I know I’m over weight currently weigh 277. I was actually in the process of loosing weight and scheduled for weight loss surgery in May 2022 which is when my baby will be due. My question is am I being crazy being upset? Would you go ahead and change doctors?
