What type of Doctor do you ladies prefer?

Currently I have an obgyn. I'm looking into getting a midwife. Just want some input on differences between the two.

I see a obgyn and only would but I have some previous medical conditions prior to pregnancy. I am also high risk.

A midwife is a good way to go only if you have a low risk pregnancy and are wanting a natural birth. The current midwife I have actually works under a OB/GYN, so if anything does happen they are able to give assistance where the midwife is not qualified. She's able to deliver at home, birthing center or two of the three hospitals in my area. It's really up to you on the birthing experience your looking for. Also, OB's mostly only deliver out of hospitals. So there is less options on birthing places. Just make sure the midwife is certified if that's the route you choose. :)
