Mirena?

Question

The birth control, so if I didn't spell that correctly sorry.
What are your experiences with it? It seems like it may be my best choice after this baby and I'd love to hear personal accounts with it! Good and bad.

I loved it personally, it was kind of painful to get placed, but only hurt for a second with period-like cramping for the day after. I never had an issue with it, and after a month or two I completely stopped getting my period, which to me was excellent.

I had it for 2 hrs exactly with no issues, then in August, realized I was pregnant. My doc removed it and was given the sad news that I would probably miscarry, that was at 5 weeks.....I'm still pregnant now at 17 weeks. This is baby #3 and my husband and I couldn't be happier. Not going back to Mirena though!! LOL!

I loved mine, had it for the 5 years, only bad thing for me was how bad my skin got  with it. I had regular pireods.
I got knocked out to have it put in and I definitely recommend that. Having it taken out was easier.

Had mine for the 5 years. I had no period the whole time and got pregnant 3 months later !

I got mine in after I had my son (3 years ago). Went to have it taken out a few months ago as my husband and I are ready to have #2 and it basmati call disappeared! My Mirena fell out at some point within the last 3 years 😑 no idea when. I had regular periods the entire time. My cousin has Mirena and it perforated her uterus. I will definitely be looking for a different for of bc after we have baby #2!

Absolutely loved mine! I am 29 with no kids but had the meriena for 4 years! Some cramping here and there but that's about it

I had mirena for three years. I had not had a baby, so it hurt like a motherf*cker on the way in and out, but the pain was short-lived.  I spot-bled for 8 months after insertion, so that was inconvenient, but it doesn't happen that way for everyone. I had pain during rougher intercourse, but regular was fine. And spontaneous. ;) Hubby never felt the strings. Made my periods extremely light, but unfortunately about 10-12 days long out of a 28-day cycle.

Had it removed to TTC. Didn't bleed.   Conceived three months later.

I bled/spotted for 6 months after getting mine. I got the pararaguard instead a few years later. It was much better for me.
