20lbs down!
Hello, I'm new here. I just wanted to find a place to share my weight loss journey with everyone. I've always been morbidly obese/obese. My starting weight when I knew I had to take action was 232lbs at 5'3.
Since starting I've been trying to eat cleaner by cutting back on processed foods (especially ones containing high fructose corn syrup); trying to buy more organic foods while watching my carb intake among other small things. I've also started taking probiotics and a prenatal vitamin daily.
So far I've lost a little over 20lbs in 2 months just by doing what I stated above. No exercise added (aside from trying to get some more steps in during the day). I'm now down to 209.8lbs as of today! I feel so much better about myself now and I'm in less discomfort than I was before.
I just want to let people who are struggling to get to a healthy weight know that it IS POSSIBLE, and it's possible without drastically changing your eating habits. It is possible without going on a strict "diet" so to speak. (With some exceptions, like for medical reasons.)
Keep your chin up and don't give up. You can do this! I never thought I could until I found something that works for me without having to call it a "diet". It's just a lifestyle change/choice.
Good luck to all who want to get to a healthy weight and maintain it! You got this!
I hope to continue my journey to a healthy weight, and I hope I found a place to share my journey with everyone and maybe even inspire some along the way.
Thank you for taking the time to read my long post!
