Answer

Yes and no. While we didn't want to pay PMI it was only an extra $100 per month and for us at the time it wasn't that big of an issue. However, our mortgage payment has gone up every year either due to homeowners insurance going up or taxes. So while it's still not a huge deal we are paying more than we have to on top of the yearly increase
