I was just reading a thread somewhere where a mum was saying her baby’s dummy stays in for an entire nap, and similarly at night. Another person commented and said that could mean baby isn’t falling into a deep sleep.

My little one often wakes from a nap with her dummy still in (she’s a 30-45 min napper), and similarly at night. This evening for instance, I put her dummy in when she went down at 7:30pm and it’s still in now at 01:00am.

I understand baby’s mouth and jaw relax as they fall into deep sleep.

So could this mean my baby isn’t ever going into a deep sleep?
