First time mom, 1 week old baby…

My baby dad and I are navigating co-parenting with a 1 week old.

We’re staying at his moms for a few days and he’s staying up with some friends watching the boxing, said he’d look after baby girl for me downstairs. I very reluctantly agreed so I could get some solid sleep.

But now I’m in bed, missing my daughter but mostly worrying what the future holds. It would absolutely kill me to leave my baby with him overnight or for weekends without me (we’ve agreed to a year of joint visits as I’m breastfeeding etc) but I know before the year is up, he’ll want her without me.

I just can’t even bare the thought of her being without me😭

How have other people coped with sharing their babies?

(P.s this man didn’t want her and was very unkind during my pregnancy and this adds to my reluctancy as I’m more possessive over her bc of this)
