Didn’t know where to post this so tried a couple of places
Also, it’s uncontested. We’ve both signed the paperwork. We don’t have kids, property, car or anything at all together. Neither is getting alimony. Also was married only 9months, living separate since September 1st.

I suggest you ask your attorney. I know divorces can sometimes take a while to finalize. If you’ve filed paperwork then you’ve definitely “started the process” but it it can sometimes take time to finalize divorce settlements between you and your ex.

Honestly it can take 6months to a year to finalize. Basically what happens is you file, they review the documents to make sure you didn’t miss anything, then they are signed and you have to serve the other party. The other party has 20 days to file a response before you can file a request to continue without them. After all of that they will schedule you for a hearing where you will talk with the judge. The judge hands down their recommendation and you have 15 days before the final copy comes in.
