How do you clean frida snot sucker?

I’m racking my brain trying to figure out how to clean this thing! First time I’ve used it today. Do I need to change filter after every use? Help.

I have a little straw brush that fits nicely. I'm sure you could rinse it first in hot water and the soak it for a bit in soapy water and rinse

I run under hot water and soap and use a little brush on it. 
Yes, I change the filter every use it every other use. You can buy a giant box of generic filters on Amazon that fit and work the same.

I've literally never changed the filter in mine because I never got more than the tip filled with snot. My daughter hates the fricken thing.

I rinse it in the sink, the filter also lol I use a qtip if need
