Please no judgment 😔

Our youngest furbaby went missing nearly 3 weeks ago, she was really really close with our 3 year old daughter as they basically grew up together. She’s so smart for her age and understands Millie (our cat) has gone missing and I’ve never seen her so heartbroken. We’ve not spoke about the cat for a while and my daughter will breakdown about her and have full on sobbing moments. I’ve done my best to find our cat but feel like I’ve failed my daughter.

My family are telling me to get another kitten/cat but I couldn’t as I feel like I’m replacing her, my partner says a hamster as it’s smaller and she could bond more I guess? I don’t know what to do I’m so stuck
