I’m curious! How did you say for IVF ? Credit card? Savings? Grants?

I use insurance for most of the cost but you still will probably have to have a good 10k on hand to pay for stuff insurance won't pay for, like in my case, 600 for each transfer & I had 3 already done, there is grants also, I did apply for one where you can get help off some medication, I believe it's call Compassion care, you can apply for a discount on some meds, YouTube helps with finding this stuff too. Look into your insurance or your husbands, my husbands insurance pays for ivf, mine does not what so ever.

For the first round I put it on my credit card. I was fortunate that insurance paid for most of the medications but it was $11k for retrieval, ICSI, transfers, etc. I paid it off over time. For the second round (currently pregnant) I still had to cover meds through insurance but the procedures were paid for out of a provincial program. If I have to do it again, it will be credit card so I hope I don’t have to.

Not sure where your located but here in NYS, we have CNY fertility and they offer financing options. We paid $1200 down, $3000 out of pocket for all the medications (prior to starting the process) and now we pay $200 a month to pay off a balance of $5000. One of the cheapest IVF centers I've ever came across and by far the most professional and caring people.

Insurance covered at 100% after we met the $2,100 deductible. Our insurance also covered $15,000 in medications (which is about enough for 1 cycle). For the second cycle I paid cash out of pocket for the meds. That came to $4,000. We have WIN infertility coverage under blue cross blue shield. There's a $30,000 lifetime maximum

We paid all out of pocket up front, roughly $15,000. I live in Manitoba, Canada and we claimed IVF as an expense on our taxes snd got paid back 60%. I believe other provinces in Canada have differing payback amounts.

It took and takes everything and just when you feel you paid up boom another expense. But yea totally wiped out our savings. Good luck but it’s rewarding we’re now 19 weeks so good luck again.

My insurance is paying for it . I just had to met my $800 deductible and they pay for everything at 100%. I had to pay co pays for my meds . About $500 . I have a lifetime maximum of 25,000 .
